7. The Traveller

Travel & Places

Mark TwainTravel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one’s lifetime.”
Mark Twain (1869) The Innocents Abroad

Crete1Blogs such as this can easily expand from being a short and punchy news sheet into something more akin to a library. There is always going to be a need to maintain some sort of managed structure within the context of such growth. A common solution is to archive news items which have ‘aged’. However, archives do not always invite casual reading. The solution here is to keep those to do with travel and places, add new travel items and move both to: Travel & Places.

Nikon S8200 Miscellaneous 11.2012 004The news items, archived and new, covered in Travel & Places are roughly ordered by topic: Visits, Conferences Home & Away, Pure Leisure etc. I will use these pages to post some of my better attempts at travel photography. I shall comment on the places that I have visited and the people that I have met.
